Default After you cap an elite...

This is getting really annoying.

I have an elite I use in my build all the time for PvE. So when I go around capping other elites, for some reason whenever I enter an outpost or zone to a new area, my regular elite is the one that gets removed, instead of the elite I really don't care about except for the point in the title I'm going for.

For example, I use triple chop, have 16 axe mastery, and then and go cap boon signet. I cap it, resign and return to base to see that boon signet is still on my bar and triple chop is not.

Sure it's something small, but I'd greatly like it fixed if the elite we previously had on the bar remained there and the skill we capped goes away.

If you place the cap sig in your bar before your own elite you lose the new captured skill when zoning.

Why is it such a problem? its as hard as changing one skill.

Wouldn't you have to replace the elite with whatever skill you had before anyways? So either way you're PRESSING K and click+dragging something to that slot, albeit another capture sig or a rez sig.

I would like to be able to select which elite I want to keep before zoning into another explorable area just in case. It's something minor so it shouldn't be too hard to fix.

To Diddy bow and mike_Version2, if you would have read what I said, when you zone into a new area (I'm talking about explorables) you lose that elite.

And to Cimoa, that doesn't seem to work? My skill bar has cap sig as the first skill, and it still replaces it.

and to silv3rr, when you have about 50 cap sigs, those are easy to replace, but when you also have nearly every skill, it's hard to find a skill that you can only have 1 of.

But you're still going to have to replace the elite you DON'T want. Either way you'll still have to open up the skill window and dragging something down there...

Do you have all attribute-skill tabs opened or something? I have every skill unlocked on most of my characters also and I have no problem locating that 1 skill. They're also listed in alphabetical order, if you know your ABCs then you won't have trouble looking for the FEW skills with gold trim under that 1 particular attribute.

There's also skill templates, if you're too lazy to locate that 1 skill, save the build and just load it every time you zone.

Honestly, how long does it take to replace a skill even if you have every skill tab opened? 5-10 seconds? I understand that it's annoying... but not something that requires "fixing" when it's not broken.

And fail.

If you zone between explorable zones, you lose an elite. You can't change skills INSIDE EXPLORABLE ZONES. (bolded since you apparently aren't reading very carefully).

Personally, I'm /notsigned because its not that big of a deal. But, at least know what you are disagreeing with.

IIRC you only lose the ones on the left side, and keep the rightmost one.

So if I remember correctly if you put your cap sigs at slot 1,2,3 and your normal elite at slot 4, then you should only lose the newly capped elites.

He was talking about changing an area to another explorable area.
It USED to be that the elite farthest to right would be removed. I have absolutely no idea why they swapped it, because, as you can see from the wiki, most elites you use are towards the left.

Press 'k', or whatever brings up skill window.

Change the *order* of skills.

All in explorable area.

But you can't change the skill once its been removed. That's the whole point of this suggestion Antheus.

And you fail at comprehension. I never said anything about changing skills while you're in an explorable area... I think EVERYONE is well aware of the fact that you CAN'T change your skills when you're in an explorable area. I don't know how dunce one has to be to misunderstand that.

The OP's complaining about how the original elite he had on his bar (before he goes skill capping) disappears when he zones back to a town/outpost after he caps whatever other elite it is he went for.

Here's a very clear example even someone like you can understand... or misunderstand: I have Searing Flames on my bar. I go cap, some random skill... let's say Elemental Attunement. I now have 2 elites on my skill bar, I zone back to town, oh no what do we have here? I now have NOTHING in place of Searing Flames but Elemental Attunement is still there?

The problem is the way skills are checked like when you add a fourth PvE skill or different alliegance Kurzick/Luxon skill.

They should change the process so they are checked in the inverse order.

Yeas, you can put the signet before the elite, but people use most the Leftmost skills, near the WADS.

Now it a bit annoying.

I'll agree it's a minor annoyance, but it's really not worth Anet working on a fix over...

put cap sig in slot #1 = problem solved
multiple cap sigs?
don't put any of your cap sigs in a higher numbered slot than your regular elite skill.

People seem to think Anet is filled with like 3 people. The same people making Guild Wars 2 aren't also trying to make new patches for GW1, there are multiple people working on this game and Guild Wars 2. It's not like they can't make changes because they don't have the time.
